About Us
Let us tell you more about kareepan Safaris cc
Kareepan Safaris cc is owned by Heino Stoman, Norah Doll, Heiko Doll, and Cecile Doll. This African paradise is situated 50km south of the famous Etosha National Park. In 1985, we became the new owners of farm Kareepan, which was previously owned by Robbie Meiburg. We also bought bordering farm “Turfbult” in 1992, previously owned by Christo Thomas. The source of the famous Namibian Ugab River is found at Kareepan, next to our main farmhouse, which brings a fascinating sighting during periods of heavy rains.
With plains stretching over a total of 6106 hectares, Kareepan is home to various African species such as Eland (Cape & Livingstone), Kudu, Oryx, Steenbok, Duikers, Warthog, Leopard, Cheetah, Brown Hyena, Lion, and much more!
Eland & Kudu Antelope: Our Pride
At Kareepan Safaris, we take immense pride in our remarkable populations of Eland and Kudu antelope. Our Eland, with females weighing between 300-600kg and bulls reaching up to an impressive 900kg, are among the largest in northern Namibia. Similarly, our Kudu antelopes are notable for their size, with males typically weighing between 190-270kg and females ranging from 120-210kg. Whether you’re a hunter seeking a thrilling challenge or a wildlife enthusiast eager to observe these majestic creatures, Kareepan Safaris offers an unforgettable experience.

Indulge in luxury accommodation with an authentic farmhouse ambiance. At Kareepan, we offer two distinct residences: the historic main home, built in 1940 with limestone and clay sourced from termite hills, and our charming ‘Hunters Hut’ constructed in 2017, just 50m from the main house.
Our accommodation features 6 guest rooms with 3 double beds, 2 three-quarter beds, and 5 single beds. Guests can also enjoy free Wi-Fi, a bright blue pool, daily laundry and housekeeping services, meals, soft drinks, and beverages.

You may have heard of Namibia’s famous “Omajovas”. These are a type of mushroom that grows on termite mounds during the rainy season (around January to March). What makes them so fascinating is that they appear and grow as big as 40cm within only a few hours. Not only are they fascinating, but also delicious! If you visit Kareepan during the rainy season, we will make sure that you get a taste of this famous Namibian delicacy.
We offer a wide range of mouth-watering meals and snacks – mostly made from our own farm products (free range cattle, goats, sheep, and our own vegetable garden.
